Why one van and not two cars.

A crew of eight with a case each does not fit a car, and splitting across two means two pickups, two drivers and two things to go wrong at the kerb. The Sprinter takes everyone and everything in one vehicle. Other Sprinters with fewer seats cost more and send the suitcases in a separate car; this one takes the people and the cases at one fare.

For an arrival with luggage three seats come out, the load floor is clear, and the cases ride inside with you. For a departure with hand luggage every seat stays in. Either layout is the same fare.
